Blue: It helps in bringing down the blood pressure and have a calming effect on the mind, body and soul. This is why, it is often recommended for bedrooms and bathrooms. But, use this colour smartly and if you are using the light shade of blue as a primary colour, balance it effectively with the warm hues for the furnishings and fabrics.
Green: The refreshing green is an eye candy and the lighter hues are suitable for any room in the house. Be it the kitchen, a family room or living room, green spreads warmth and notch up a comfortable ambiance.
Purple: The dramatic and sophisticated hue is perfectly apt for luxury and creativity. It is essentially used as a secondary color, instead of being a primary one and in most cases, the lighter versions of purple are found in cosy bedrooms.
Orange: It is often touted as the colour of fire, which evokes excitement and enthusiasm. While this is not a wise option for the living room and bedrooms, orange suits best in the exercise room or places where the energy level us always high.
